2011 Audi A2 Concept

The Audi A2 joins the S6 sedan and Avant, S7, S8, the Urban Concept, and the Urban Concept Spyder. The concept is loaded with contemporary Audi connectivity tech, including Bluetooth, wireless internet, Google Earth and Street View navigation screen overlays, Audi traffic information, and Google point-of-interest search.

The chunky concept’s stance is helped by its two-piece 18-inch wheels. Audi amped up the A2’s exterior flair with lights—lots of lights. When the driver activates the A2’s turn signal, pulses of light run down the side of the car in step with the turn indicators. Ensuring that the body-side lighting doesn’t steal the show, the A2 concept’s headlights and rear fog light feature advanced lighting technology as well. The car’s head- and taillights utilize matrix-beam lighting, which Audi is referring to as the next step in LED technology—it’s essentially a cluster of LEDs and small reflectors that intensify the headlight’s beam.

2011 Volkswagen Amarok

The pickup's active and passive safety systems and convenience features all match up to passenger car levels. Yet the Amarok is extremely rugged. The cleanly sculpted curvatures of the pickup's side body panels and engine hood give the Amarok the typical rugged look of a pickup. The pickup comes with a standard six speed transmission.Volkswagen Amarok customers can choose from three different driveline versions: permanent all-wheel drive, selectable four-wheel drive (both 4MOTION) and rear-wheel drive (4x2). The Volkswagen Amarok 4MOTION with a black "4" makes its appearance with permanent all-wheel drive and greater comfort. It exploits the advantages of all-wheel drive for superior vehicle dynamics on paved roads too. This all-wheel drive version will be available at market launch on all Euro-5 versions of the VW Amarok. Moreover, an optional mechanical rear differential lock is available for rugged Volkswagen Amarok driving conditions.

Volkswagen Amarok Exterior Design

The Volkswagen Amarok is being launched on the market in three equipment lines. Other standard features: height-adjustable front seats, variable folding rear bench seat, locking glove box and truck bed lighting. One grade higher in convenience features is the Volkswagen Amarok Trendline. On this version, the front bumper, door handles and mirror housings are painted in body colour. Window lifts, door locks and mirror adjusters are all electrically powered. The VW Amarok Highline offers exclusive features.

Volkswagen Amarok Interior Design
The vehicle's finely tuned ergonomics are typical of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and the Amarok. Important: The truck bed of the Volkswagen Amarok Double Cab serves up the largest dimensions in its class as well. Also "Best in class" is the pickup's maximum load width of 1,222 mm between wheel wells.

The safety package of the Volkswagen Amarok sets new standards in its class. Numerous other features guarantee a high level of active safety as well. On all versions with trailer prep, ESP functionality includes the trailer stabilization system. The ABS system can reduce braking distance both off-road and on gravel road surfaces, often significantly depending on the road composition. On vehicles without ESP, "Off-Road Mode" comprises ASR and Off-Road ABS systems that are standard equipment here.

Engine specifications

The Amarok's twin-turbo 2.0-litre BiTDI engine delivers 163PS of power output and 400Nm of torque, making light work of heavy cargo and towing loads alike. Thanks to Volkswagen's common-rail TDI turbo-diesel technology, the Amarok's impressive pulling power doesn't compromise its great fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions. With its low CO2 emissions, the Amarok is Euro V compliant.

2012 Hayundai i40 Tourer

Meet the new Hyundai i40 Tourer, the Korean car maker’s stylish estate that's aimed squarely at the Toyota Avensis. The latest model to carry the 'I' prefix is another advocate of Hyundai's 'fluidic sculpture' design language. The result is an estate that's stylish as well as deeply practical, thanks to 553-litres of boot space that increases to 1,719-litres with the (nearly) fold-flat rear seats down.

Debuting at the Geneva Show, Genus represented Hyundai's vision in Europe for a unique alternative within the D-segment, combining practicality with emotional design. The design represents an evolution of Hyundai's unique form language, 'fluidic sculpture', creating a sleek, elegant Tourer with uncompromised comfort and load capacity.  The sleek design of the Hyundai i40 Tourer does not impact negatively on the levels of interior comfort, cabin versatility and practicality or cargo capacity. The generous wheelbase (2770 mm) and overall width (1815 mm) create a cabin with impressive capacity. The new model delivers best-in-class dimensions for front seats occupants, with head (1025 mm), leg (1170 mm) and shoulder room (1455 mm).

The 114bhp diesel with ISG emits performs even better, emitting just 113g/km of CO2 and averaging 66mpg on the combined cycle.  The petrol engine is Hyundai's Hyundai’s entire new four-cylinder 2.0-litre GDI engine, called 'Nu'. This all-aluminum engine makes its debut in the i40, promising to deliver higher torque (for enhanced drivability), improved fuel economy and reduced emissions, plus undiminished durability and excellent NVH characteristics - similar to a multi-point fuel injected engine. The 1.6-litre petrol engine offers a well-proven 16-valve Gamma unit. It generates 135PS and accelerates from 0-62mph in 11.6 seconds.
